What’s New in Oracle Primavera P6 24.12?

Oracle released Primavera P6 24.12. There are many new features related to Primavera P6 Professional and EPP M comparing to 23.12 version.

These new features are:

    •  The Primavera P6 24.12 release includes nine bug fixes from Oracle, showcasing their commitment to resolving identified issues within the software.
    •    Flexible filtering options based on dates, contributors, activity IDs, WBS codes, status, type, and review type.
    •    Quick and efficient location of specific status updates.
    •    Option to designate a default database instance for new installations or when the previous database selection is not retrievable.
    •    Enhances user experience with a seamless and predictable database selection process.
    •    Consolidated view of all privileges in a single, searchable list.
    •    Assign” option allows for quick modification of privileges within categories.
    •    EPS page displays comprehensive audit data.
    •    Customizable audit period and table selection.
    •    Improved visibility and accessibility of historical changes.
    •    Transition to OAS for enhanced analytics and data visualization.
    •    Ensures existing functionalities are preserved and recommends precautionary backups.
    •    Generated emails include hyperlinks that direct recipients to the specified project and activity in Primavera P6.
    •    Option to skip initial data download at login to reduce login time.
    •    Manual data synchronization available if offline access is needed.
    •    Supports all relationship types for start and finish milestones.
    •    Streamlined conversion of activities to milestones.
    •    Preserves relationship types when importing schedules from various sources.
      •   Database and Language options are now prominently displayed on the login page, eliminating the need to expand the “Advanced” section.
        •     Displays aggregated values for selected fields at the grouping level.
        •     Provides concise visual representation of key metrics within grouped sections of the project schedule.
        •    Centralized view of the total user count.
        •    Roll-up of user distribution across different modules.
        •    Enhanced filtering to hide inactive users.
        •    Improved clarity and efficiency in user administration.
        •    Option to exclude secure code assignments during data transfer operations.
        •    Enhances usability and adaptability of Primavera P6.
        •    Export includes the complete hierarchical path and code value path of each activity.
        •    Enhances data clarity and integrity in the CPP format.
        •   Manually adjust schedule by dragging milestones on the Gantt Chart.
        •    Apply “Start On or After” constraints.
        •    Flexibility in adjusting schedules for in-progress activities.
          •   “Copy User Settings” dialog box for replicating configurations across multiple users.
          •    Controls access to modules, resources, and projects.
          •    Ensures consistent and controlled user access and preferences.
            •   Extended to include Web Service REST endpoints.
            •   Enhances security and control over web services access.
              •   Includes the creation date of user accounts.
              •   Differentiates between inactive users and new accounts.
